This year, the focus is primarily on works from Italy and the Netherlands. In addition, contributions from China, Korea and the USA will enrich the fair. Special attention will be paid to jewelry and ceramics. Thanks to the introduction of the smow Design Award in 2023, the number of submissions in the furnishings segment has increased, with many young talents presenting their work for the first time. The exhibition stands cover the entire Grassi Museum of Applied Arts. Exhibitors are located in the foyers, the Art Deco Pillar Hall and in the permanent exhibition "Antiquity to Historicism". This unique combination of historical and contemporary art creates exciting dialogues between tradition and modernity.
The Grassimesse, which takes place every October, is considered one of the leading international sales fairs for applied art and design and is a meeting place for creatives, galleries, experts and visitors from all over Europe. The Grassimesse offers the opportunity to look, buy and inform and presents the latest trends from all areas of arts and crafts and design. Around a third of the exhibitors are newcomers. During the fair, six Grassi Prizes with a total value of 14,000 euros are awarded in recognition of outstanding artistic achievements in various disciplines.
