Traffic restrictions around the 41st Leipzig Triathlon - City of Leipzig

A total of 1,800 athletes will take part in this popular popular sporting event, which has been held for many years, and will transform the south-west of Leipzig into a triathlon area. The route will be closed from the early hours of the morning. The bike course leads from the Kulkwitzer See area to Gasthof Lausen via Lausener Straße, Seebenischer Straße, Rehbacher Straße, Rippachtalstraße, Gerhard-Ellrodt-Straße, Thomas-Müntzer-Straße, Regenbogen, Zur Heide and back to Lausener Straße. This lap is completed four times or twice. The subsequent running routes run along the lake in the direction of Göhrenz, via Lausener Weg and Gasthof Lausen back to the lake. The bike course will be completely closed on Saturday, July 27 (children's and youth triathlon, fitness triathlon and German Championship DGS) from 1 to 6:30 pm and on Sunday, July 28 (Olympic triathlon) from 10:30 am to 3 pm. The set-up work for the course closures will begin on Saturday from 12 noon and on Sunday from 10 am. The Rippachtalstraße will be completely closed. The detour in the out-of-town direction will run from the Ratzelstraße/Lausener Straße junction via Straße am See, Lützener Straße, (Markranstädt) Leipziger Straße to Zwenkauer Straße (B 186). In the direction of the city center, traffic will also be diverted and can continue via the A38 or Knautnaundorfer Straße. For safety reasons and to ensure the passage widths, it is necessary to keep the roads along the competition route clear. Road users are therefore requested to observe the stopping restrictions and remove parked vehicles from the route. Bus routes 61 and 62 will only run between Schönau, Weißdornstraße and Lausen, Buswendeschleife on Saturday between 12 noon and 4:50 pm and bus route 61 on Sunday from 10:40 am to 2 pm. All stops between these points will be canceled during this period. The ALITA162 service between Huttenstraße and Siedlung Florian Geyer will be canceled on Saturday from 1:15 pm to 4:45 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 2:45 pm. Further information on all connections can be found at www.L.de/fahrplan and in the LeipzigMOVE app.
