Please be sure to observe the stopping restrictions in the vicinity of the stadium, especially to keep escape routes clear in Goyastraße, Eitingonstraße and Cottaweg.
The residents' protection zone in the Waldstraßenviertel will be set up from 12:30 until the start of the match at 15:30. In order to speed up public transport and reduce individual traffic in the area around the stadium, Ranstädter Steinweg and Jahnallee between Tröndlinring and Waldplatz will be closed in the out-of-town direction. In addition, the residents' protection zone will be extended from Leibnizstraße to Jacobstraße. A control point for residents, cabs and delivery vehicles will be set up at the Humboldtstraße/Jacobstraße junction.
It is not possible to access the checkpoint via Jacobstraße coming from Emil-Fuchs-Straße. Exit is possible via Waldstraße at Waldplatz to the south or via Waldstraße/Zöllnerweg or via Friedrich-Ebert-Straße to Jahnallee to the north. Authorized vehicles can enter the western Waldstraße district via a checkpoint in Goyastraße/Waldstraße with access via Am Sportforum/Goyastraße. Cyclists can enter the restricted area where the additional sign "Cyclist free" is displayed.
Due to the traffic restrictions and the limited parking options in the vicinity of the stadium, we strongly recommend using the signposted park-and-ride lots "Neue Messe", "Schönauer Ring", "Plovdiver Straße", "Lausen" and "Völkerschlachtdenkmal" (www.leipzig.de/p+r), as the "Day of Handball" in the Quarterback Immobilien Arena starts at 10 a.m.
Many guarded parking spaces are available on the festival grounds for those arriving by bike.
The public order office recommends using the public transport services. Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe will be running regular lines 3, 7, 8 and 15 via Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße near the stadium and lines 4 and 51 to Waldplatz or Waldstraße. In addition, lines 54 and 56 will run every 10/20 minutes during the arrival and departure periods and lines 8 and SEV3 will run additional services. Due to the construction work on the Zeppelin Bridge, lines 54 and 56 terminate at the Sportforum-Ost stop.
